Summary
A strong call to parents to reclaim their role in shaping purposeful, principled children rather than passive followers of the wrong online personalities.
This captured thought was originally uploaded on the previous version of the www.sajidumar.com website on December 22, 2017.
To the parents reading this: please save your children from becoming fans of television and YouTube personalities. The disenfranchisement that falls upon our children as a result is truly frightening.
The constant following of online personalities, watching them go about their daily lives doing things of little value, often develops into an addiction. Over time, this leads to a slow erosion of purpose, leaving a child feeling hollow and decaying from within.
Help your children discover their purpose, and they will no longer feel the need to be defined by others.
Life is too short to make it even shorter by wasting time. And as a Muslim, you are not merely required to raise children, but to raise leaders.
As parents, we must get our act together, or be prepared to live with the consequences.
May Allāh protect us and our children. Āmīn.
